1968 was by far the most confusing year in American history for white people. It was the year that for the first time in modern and western history, white people had become openly defenseless, fearful, nervous, and simply scared of Black people. Almost fifty years later and absolutely nothing has changed about the dynamics of white people’s overall perceptions of Black people. The only thing that has evolved is white people’s willingness to admit to their fear of Black people, and yet most still will not.
The late nineteen sixties and mid seventies was a time when white people had for once consciously and subconsciously considered Black people as unpredictable. Before then, it was a fairly simple assessment to place Black people into an easily contained afterthought compartment within the consciousness of white people. The main factor in this mentality was the prevailing apparatus of Black people’s fear driven by racism and discriminatory brutality against Black people for centuries. The tides had abruptly changed when in the late sixties, Black people had become more willing to express their rights and fight for them. The new atmosphere of conflicting views and color lines brought about a riddling society which created an air of uncertainty.
With the advent of color television, live newscasts, yet less sophistication in media censorship, the entire world was able to see the reality of American racism. It was then without a doubt and apparent that the leader of the so called free world was a complete hipocracy and unable to be trusted as a government elite in the global stratosphere. It was time for America to clean up the act. The late seventies ushered in a new sense of codes in conduct, particularly in the realm of politics. With the new generations of unpredictable Blacks who could now wage what white people believed to be street wars and fight for their rights, it was time that white people learn new ways to predict the movements and cultural advancements of Black people.
The nineteen eighties showed white politicians were very swift with a solution and quite timely to the disadvantage of Black people. While the country and even the world began to fully enjoy the benefits of illicit drugs openly and freely, American politicians saw an opportunity to place well written codes onto Black people without appearing to be racist bigots. The stage was set to put the entire Black population back into a state of fear and predictability. The introduction of the War on Drugs and its prime asset called crack created a new paradigm in the ways white people could conceptualize and legitimize their fears, and ultimately their racist sense of predictability of Black people. This destructive and neglectful thinking of white Americans allowed for laws to authorize unjust and wrongful imprisonments, and countless murders by police of unarmed and innocent Black people.
No matter how much the facts are present and the truth is in front of everyone’s face, law enforcement’s sole purpose has ultimately been in place to keep minorities in America controlled and contained, yet no authorities or officials will admit this. The most hated minority to law enforcement in America has always overwhelmingly been Black people. By the late 20th century, when it was no longer acceptable to blame the problems of American society on Black people outright, politicians simply replaced Black with crime. It was a very simple transition which to this very moment is still causing turmoil among America’s Black communities with no end in sight.
Unless the observable truth is heeded and its unmistakable injustices are ceased then the inevitable yet avoidable reality is soon to come. The day when Black people will again be unpredictable to white people.
Now is the time for the Black nation to hold all of its guests, welcomed and unwelcome, to be accountable for their tribute to the Black nation. The white rapper has been allowed to enter within the borders of the Black nation, whether escorted or granted access, and has often gained much success from the commodity of the Black culture. The white rapper has time and time again used the Black culture to take from the Black market and resale their derived version of the Black culture to other markets. Meanwhile, the Black rapper watches as their own access to those same markets are limited to less than that of the white rapper. The white rapper has yet to offer their own contribution to the Black nation for the escorted and granted access into the Black culture and their gainful success from it. It is time for the Black nation to demand the white rapper prove to the Black nation they are worthy for further acceptance. Otherwise, the Black nation must disassociate itself with the white rapper and consider them an invader, an exploiter, and a thief.
Hip Hop and Rap music is a Black form of art. It is not a white form of art. Most people will agree, and anyone who does not agree is trying to fool their own self. Black people can and do sell Hip Hop and Rap music, and are successful at doing it. That is not an issue. Black artists do not have a problem independently entering the industrial markets of the music world and selling their recordings and performances for a profit. There are plenty of past and current examples of Black individuals who successfully exchange their products in multiple arenas of the entertainment industry. The Black nation supports these artists, whether someone believes it or not, the same way it always has and that is mainly through validation. Unfortunately, many people believe that Black people do not make up a significant amount of the consumer record sales and that it is pointless to cater to the Black demographic if you want to sell music, or entertainment as a whole. That is a lie. Black people are a large portion of the consumer body worldwide and make up a great amount of consumer record sales, when it is valid to do so. The Black consumer, however excessive to some or perceivably invaluable to others, is not a foolish consumer. It is time for the Black nation to openly reject these lies and rid itself of those who exploit its markets.
The Black market is the essence of Hip Hop and Rap. Hip Hop and Rap is a product of the Black market. The lyrics and the instrumentals are all forms and developments of Black market intricacies, and more importantly, Black culture. You cannot use Hip Hop and Rap as a product without using Black culture and the Black market. In many ways, Black culture and Hip Hop as well as Rap and the Black market are all one in the same. So it does not make economical sense to the Black nation for someone who is not a direct and natural product of these entities to take from them, amass wealth from them, then show no evidence of redistributing any wealth directly back to them. It is time for the Black nation to point out all perpetrators who delve in these acts of piracy, and even those who commit treason to allow it. Point them out and demand they submit to retribution. Otherwise, the Black nation should no longer accept them as a representative of Black culture. They must be invalidated.
The Black people who have escorted and granted the white rapper access should be the first within the Black nation to demand they redistribute their gains back to the Black nation from which it came. Their products are a product of the Black nation, and those products represent and redefine the solace in despair and poverty of the Black nation. The sale of the deprived image given to them by the Black nation is one they do not own themselves, and the mask they wear is a Black face painted white. They do what the Black rapper does and instead of being called coon they are called edgy. They do what the Black rapper does and instead of being called a whore they are called seductive. They do what the Black rapper does and instead of being called nasty they are called racy. They do what the Black rapper does and instead of being called racist they are called political. They do what the Black rapper does and instead of being called ignorant, they in fact are called genius. They cannot do all of this without prior access and validation by the Black nation, because it would not make sense or be accepted by other markets if this were not the case. No one in any market enjoys spending their money on a product which is not certified as authentic. It is time the Black nation pressure the white rapper to show their hand in the uplifting of the Black nation. The Black nation must see this now, otherwise it must close the doors on these cheapskates and hoodwinks.
The Black nation must now see those who enter within its border act according to the uplifting and development of the global Black nation. The Black nation must demand these characters and actors redistribute back into it from their own disproportionate wealth gained from the used and abused culture of the Black nation. It is not the Chinese, Japanese or Asian culture from which the white rapper is imitating. It is not the Arab or Jewish culture from which the white rapper is imitating. It is not the Latin or South American nations from which the white rapper is imitating. Most of all, it is not their own European culture from which the white rapper is imitating. It is the Black nation from which the white rapper is imitating. The Black nation owes it to itself to demand the unpaid arrears the white rapper owes it for their ongoing campaign to seek Black validation in self serving entertainment endeavors which do nothing to benefit the Black nation. By not benefitting the Black nation, these white rappers’ allowed and self aggrandized neglect toward their agency to the Black nation does more to degrade the Black nation than it does to build the image of the white rapper. The Black nation must recognize this as evidence it has to set an embargo on fraudulence and begin to demand and reap these too often and long squandered earnings which leave its market and never return.
I hate when people bring up something that I did in the past which they may not have liked. I probably apologized for it and expressed my will to never do it again. What is done is done and I cannot change the past. I would love the idea of being forgiven as well as having the done deed forgotten, but that is never fully the case. I may be forgiven, but what I have done will not be forgotten. The act of before and its affect are what I must now live with and deal unto accordingly, even appropriately if I desire to maintain my own peace.
No one wants to constantly be reminded of their own transgressions against others. We would all like to be seen by others as the perfect model of a human being. If it were up to all of us, our wrongs would simply be rights. That is everyone’s ideal solution to their deviated and delinquent behavior. Why else would a misdoer argue to justify his or her wrongdoing? It is only to appeal to someone else’s empathetic nature and to coerce their agreement to righten themselves being done wrong. We all do it! It is the civilized thing to do. Tell me I am a fool to my face so that you and I can continue the cooperative effort of allowing you to mistreat me. That is the name of the game. Rarely does the argument ever end so peacefully. Usually someone has to form a compromise to assuage an ensued and heated debate over the misdeed. If not, that is where violence comes in handy. “Oh, you don’t like me treating you bad? Take this ass whooping! That will show you what is good for you.” There, the fence of civility has been cleared and we have entered into savagery. It should never go there, but unfortunately it does and always will sometimes.
Enter Memory:
What if we forgot when someone mistreated us? Aha! Some of you never gave that a thought I bet. I do not mean forgot in the philosophical or theoretical sense like, “oh don’t worry. I forgot that even happen.” I am talking about in the literal and physical sense like “hold up, what happened? When? For real? You lyin’! Nah that shit ain’t happen… but for real though?” The fact we can recall traumatic experiences in life is a defense mechanism and it serves a very valuable purpose. Our cognitive recollection can remind us of what we do not enjoy and if working properly will help us position ourselves to never let or allow what causes grief to negatively affect us again. Without memory and the ability to rewind and playback our experiences, bad as well as good, we would be suffering from amnesia (a brain disorder).
White folks, the rest of this is for you:
Ironically, we all have the innate ability to forgive. The catch is we have to find it in ourselves to choose to forgive being mistreated. Forgiveness is very similar to forgetting, although the two concepts are not the same. Forgiveness allows us to say to ourselves, “you know what, I have to stop thinking about what happened in the past all the time. I’ll never let it happen again though!”
To be forgiven for mistreating someone means that we have to allow ourselves to be accountable for what we have done to that other person. When we allow ourselves to be forgiven we have to also accept that who we mistreated will probably never forget what we did to them, and from time to time will remind us that they have not forgotten for safe measure. This must be done in order for them to further remind us that they intend to never let it happen again, but will forget about it until the next time they feel the need to remind us again.
Memory lasts in time and matures. It grows and becomes a new life. It takes on different names and languages. It has homes and styles itself in the latest and modern fashions. It has children and parents. It is a living, breathing, reproducing organism. Memory is essential to a society and its order. Memory passes on to generations and raises them. It feeds them their favorite foods, sings them their favorite songs, buys them their first car, helps them raise their own children. Memory reminds us of all the good things that have happened throughout human history, as well as the bad. We are the memory of us all from before, in the present, and into the future. We are accountable for our history, whether we were physically here to witness it, or it was passed down to us through memories. We can forgive ourselves and allow ourselves to be forgiven, but we will never truly forget. That old shit matters to us all.
Of my four great grandmothers, I only have a glimpse at one. There maybe pictures of my other three great grandmothers, but I’ve never seen them. The photo is of Mrs. Alice Green White. She is the mother of my mother’s mother. She lived from the late 19th century into the beginning of the 20th century, so the photo is more than 100 years old. Her husband, my great grandfather, was “mulatto” or mixed with white and black. That explains my Caucasian ancestry.
This photo fascinates me because it is a part of me which I will never physically be able to touch. I can only imagine what she was like, yet there she is staring right at me resembling my mother and even me by some portions. Time is only a landscape with distances and perspectives. We are still together on the same ground whether we believe it or not. With photos from our past we stay connected to everything from before, now, and into the future.
First I wanna say that Camille is an extraordinary artist and she has a powerful and chilling voice when she sings. Fred Focus is a true visionary and the images he captured in this video are beyond explanation.
I wanna bring forth my thoughts on one particular part. When the black and white scene of Camille on the porch with the dog comes on I swear my heart skipped a beat. I almost forgot I was watching a music video on my iPhone. I for a second believed I had travelled back in time and was watching a real image of some 1930’s back alley shanty town performance.
This is by far the best work I’ve seen from these two artists, in regards to them working together. I know the both of them personally and would like them to know I’m deeply proud to have been graced by their artistic presences’ in my lifetime. I hope to see more collaborations between them and riveting and provocative works of art in the near and later future.
When I was younger, and living in Houston, Texas, it never occurred to me that I was living in big booty heaven. It wasn’t until I moved away to Washington D.C. that I recognized a huge difference in the shape of Black women’s asses. Much to my surprise, I realized I was spoiled.
Now that I am older, I have a great appreciation for all types of women’s booties. Don’t get me wrong, a flat booty is a total waste, and I’d probably walk by and not give it a double take. But there are some less voluptuous shapes that a woman can have that are still highly acceptable.
We should all be familiar with the coke bottle, the apple bottom, and of course the onion. Respectively, those shapes are usually possessed by women of Black and Latin descent. That leaves a lot of races and ethnicities to wonder, “what’s my shape?”
Well, if you’re not under the category of nasatall (no ass at all), or you’re not an Asian woman, or even Guatemalan (never seen a Guatemalan fatty before), then you probably just have a white girl booty.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a white girl booty. It just means you have to look at other girl’s fat booties and simply admire, or go get butt injections. I’m not a fan of fake booties. But besides that, a white girl booty is actually attractive to most men, as long as it’s got shape and is no more than an inch close to being nasatall.

Black women, Spanish woman, white women, all women alike should feel totally fine with a white girl booty. As long as you don’t have fat back, or muffin top, the shit looks sexy. Don’t alter it cosmetically, and stay in shape. You’ll do fine in some leggings, bikini, tight jeans, and all the clothes that bring out the best in your white girl booty.
